An exhibition highlighting historic campus achievements will bring the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s sesquicentennial celebration to communities across the Cornhusker State.

The N150 traveling exhibition features four two-sided 4-foot-by-8-foot panels detailing key moments in the university’s 150-year history — from influential alumni and cultural contributions to agricultural, technological and science innovation and environmental stewardship. It includes a computer kiosk that allows viewers to read pages from “Dear Old Nebraska U,” a book commemorating the university’s 150 years.

“We created this exhibit as a recognition that our 150th anniversary celebration is an important milestone across our entire statewide campus,” said Chancellor Ronnie Green. “It will help us tell the university’s story of impact and stewardship to many people in many regions of the state during this sesquicentennial year.”

After being displayed at the Nebraska Union through Feb. 18 and the State Capitol from Feb. 19 through March 4, the exhibit will begin its statewide travels with a stop in O’Neill. More dates and locations will be announced. The exhibit will travel to some areas in conjunction with community visits by Green or other top university officials. Communities interested in hosting the display should contact Leslie Reed, public affairs director, University Communication, 402-472-2059 or lreed5@unl.edu.

The exhibition was designed with the assistance of a freelance artist. It was funded through donor contributions.
