My Review:
What I
love about this author is her style and descriptions which give such depth and
atmosphere to her stories. With this story, add in the paranormal, some ghostly
elements, like faces in the mist or supposedly imagined touches, and reality
flows easily into making the unbelievable believable, especially with her masterful
handle on crafting a story.
While for me, kind of a jump in with both feet
sort of gal in real life and in fiction, the story kind-of got off to a slow
start, actually, once the main character got to her destination, the book took on a whole new feel: the setting
grew mystical and intriguing, the character bore a greater depth along with
that wonderful dangerous inquisitiveness, the storyline took off being both
dreamy and ghostly while also sensual and loving, all of this with the richness
of history laced in a little mystery. Who could ask for more?
This is my second Muffy Wilson book, given to me
by the author for an honest review, and I can honesty say that I am excited to
see what she comes up with next.
