Eddie Palmieri’s Latin Jazz Live Concert at NPR

Eddie Palmieri is one of our Latin music flag bearers from the days of the Palladium and you can listen to his recent live concert free at NPR.

If you are an Eddie Palmieri fan, you know that he had a 7 year recording break since his collaboration in Brian Lynch’s 2006 Grammy winning recording “Simpatico” (Palmieri’s 9th Grammy of his career). Make that 8 years since Palmieri’s own last album “Listen Here” (2005).

Eddie Palmieri broke the recording silence with a movie soundtrack (I guess to add something new to his resume) when he recorded the EP “Eddie Palmieri is Doin’ it in the Park”.

You can hear the same essence of Palmieri’s band in “Doin’ it in the Park” in this concert, although the set does not contain the same songs. It’s a very enjoyable set by the monstrous Eddie Palmieri Latin Jazz Septet. The musicians credits and song list is all there.
