PortugalThe 1st International Forum of Environmental Film Festivals will take place on October 13-15 in Seia, Portugal, as part of the CineEco – Serra da Estrela International Environmental Film Festival. CineEco is the only film festival dedicated entirely to environmental issues, in its broadest sense, in Portugal. It has been taking place in Seia, one of the gateways to the highest mountain in Portugal mainland (Serra da Estrela), since 1995 and promoted by the Municipality of Seia.
Connect4Climate's Program Manager Giulia Braga will participate in a conference session on October 13 as part of the 1st International Forum of Environmental Film Festivals.

The festival takes place in the Casa Municipal da Cultura de Seia and CISE - Centro de Interpretação da Serra da Estrela. It has won international prestige, frequently competing with over 600 documentaries from more than 30 countries.
Over eight days, the festival carries a myriad of activities which include several side events, such as conferences, concerts, workshops, exhibitions, in addition to the competitive section and several film cycles.
The CineEco – Serra da Estrela International Environmental Film Festival offers quality films and alternatives concerning the traditional market.
The festival seeks to engage new audiences, and educate them to the cinema, its history, and its aesthetics. In addition to a general audience, the festival has attracted thousands of children and the youth region as well as tourists to the movie theaters.
