The Lubbock Rape Crisis Center reported 331 cases in 2013. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an international men’s march to raise awareness of gender violence, sexual assault and rape, and various communities hold localized events. Men are asked to walk a mile in high-heeled shoes. The local Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event took place this past weekend.

- Participants walked around the courthouse four times. Many had to stop for breaks.

- At the end of the walk, participants turned their shoes back in.
