Missing person Grace Lopez of Deming disappeared while possibly on way to El Paso in 2017

A search continues for a young woman from Deming who disappeared a year ago while possibly traveling to El Paso.

Grace Lopez, now 23, was last seen in Deming on Feb. 9, 2017, and was believed to be possibly going to El Paso, according to missing persons posters by her family and the New Mexico Department of Public Safety.

Lopez was carrying a green blanket, a red backpack and possibly had on a green sweater, blue pants and a blue shirt.

Lopez is 5 feet 1 inch tall, 170 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, according to information from the New Mexico Department of Public Safety.

She has tattoos of the Playboy symbol on a wrist, a heart with "Albert" on her right arm and a dragon and tiger inked on her back. She has burn scars on her face, an arm and thigh.
