Finishing Imperial this year? Have your say in the National Student Survey

Survey closes Thursday 30 April - visit  thestudentsurvey.com to take the survey.

Every year the NSS gives final year students an important opportunity to express their level of satisfaction with their education. When you fill it in,  please reflect on your whole experience at Imperial .

Internally, the NSS provides valuable feedback and raises important issues to both College and the Union. There is a well-established cycle of improvement within the Departments, Faculties and Professional Services and the Union publishes a very helpful response to the NSS each year. All of which is focused on improving the student experience across the whole College.

Prospective students and other interested parties will also use this data to compare the quality of education and the wider student experience each university and course offers.

The level of involvement matters;  last year 84% of final year students filled in the NSS , and we are hoping you will help to maintain or beat this percentage in 2015. The higher the response rate, the more representative the outcome. To help make the survey as useful as possible we have a few tips when filling it in:

  • Rate your entire degree, not your final year

The NSS is very different to SOLE. Use SOLE to discuss the positives and negatives of your year and NSS for the positives and negatives of your whole degree.

  • Make your voice count.

Your responses are an important indicator of where things are going very well or need improving; help us by taking this opportunity to think about your time here and sharing your views.

  • Give detailed comments on open text boxes.

There are free-text boxes on the survey. Be as detailed as possible if you want to help your department and the College improve in future; you can equally share your highlights.

So if you are a final year student, please fill in the survey here:  thestudentsurvey.com . It should only take 10-15 minutes and it's a chance to share your views about the whole of your education and experience here at Imperial.

You can take the survey as a final year student at the College.
