Today we are highlighting a lesson plan from the Marketplace called Let’s Talk About Cats! Four Types of Sentences by Amber Maykut. This lesson can be used to satisfy the following Common Core Standards:

Objectives:
Students will show they can identify and differentiate between declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, and imperative sentences by creating an example of each and using the correct punctuation.
Materials:
Students can use the the Drawp writing tool.
Activity:
Students write an example of each type of sentence: declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, and imperative.
Evaluation:
Students’ comprehension is evaluated based on their answers. Correct spelling, first word capitalization, and end punctuation should be used for each sentence.
