The 2015 Texas Football season officially begins on Saturday, April 18 with the Orange-White Scrimmage, presented by Schlotzsky's. The scrimmage will begin at 1 p.m. in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and the day's activities start at 11 a.m. with a Fan Fest. Both events are free.
The north end gates to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium open at 11 a.m. for the Fan Fest and seating for the Orange-White Scrimmage is first-come, first-served, so fans are encouraged to arrive early. Access for the scrimmage is through Gates 1, 7, 8, 14, 16, 25, 27 and 32. Parking lots open at 9 a.m.
For Fan Fest, some of the University's greatest traditions greet fans right away as Bevo XIV, the most revered live mascot in college sports, and Smokey the Cannon will be available for photo ops outside the north end of the stadium. Everything's bigger in Texas and that includes Giant Hook 'Em, the 30-foot tall inflatable mascot serving as the gateway to the Fan Fest in front of Seal Gate. Head coach Charlie Strong and the Longhorns began spring practice on Wednesday, March 25 and will have completed 14 workouts by the time the Orange-White Scrimmage kicks off. There are 42 letterwinners back from last season, including 20 on offense and 19 on defense. Despite losing a number of key performers, including DT Malcolm Brown, LB Jordan Hicks, CB Quandre Diggs and RB Malcolm Brown, Texas will return starters at 12 positions (seven on offense, five on defense).
The Longhorns open the 2015 regular season on Saturday, Sept. 5 with a trip to Notre Dame. The home opener comes seven days later when Rice visits DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.

TEAM SHOP FIRE SALE
The Texas Longhorns Official Team Shop will be holding its two-day fire sale (Friday and Saturday) at its location inside Gate 8 just west of the stadium food court. Fans can purchase authentic Texas Athletics apparel only previously available to student-athletes and coaches on a first-come, first-served basis.

FREE parking is available in the Manor and San Jacinto garages, as well as Lots 37 and 70. FREE street parking is also available on Robert Dedman Dr., San Jacinto St., and Trinity St. (with the exception of the NO PARKING AT ALL TIMES designated spots). Parking lots open at 9 a.m.

The Orange-White Scrimmage will be shown exclusively on Longhorn Network (pregame show starts at noon) and also airs on KVET AM 1300 The Zone in Austin. TexasSports.com will provide a free audio Internet stream. Satellite radio subscribers may listen on Sirius Ch. 117 / XM Ch. 201.
