1ST ANNIVERSARY OF QUAPAW NATCHEZ:

TODAY 4pm -- Guided Canoe Trips

Natchez-Under-the-Hill Boat Ramp

Music to follow 9pm at Under-the-Hill Saloon

Last year on this very same date, TAX DAY 2014, a group of adventurers descended out of the north on board a Quapaw vessel the Grasshopper and made landing under the gangplank of the American Queen and walked up the ramp at Natchez-Under-the-Hill to declare peace with Natchez and officially open the NATCHEZ OUTPOST of the Quapaw Canoe Company -- all under the leadership of the erstwhile Adam Elliott.

Congratulations Adam (and Joe)! From all of us Quapaws up and down the river, PADDLES UP! and a resounding WHOOP! WHOOP! HOORAY!!!

From Adam: Today, April 15th, is the 1st anniversary for Quapaw Canoe Outpost Natchez! Come celebrate with a short paddle on the Mississippi! Trips will begin with a short shuttle from our pickup point at the boat ramp in front of the Under The Hill Saloon to a put in about 4 miles upriver to the top of the Giles Cut. This trip will be 1st come first served and includes a Rivergator poster/map of the river. Price is $30 per person and will begin at 4 pm with as many trips as we can make before dark. Join us at the Under The Hill Saloon at 9 pm for live music by Dix's Hat Band! NOTE: trips will run based on weather conditions. I will post a go/no go message on April the 15th at 12:00pm.
