About the speaker
Shahd is the co-founder and CEO of JUST, a social enterprise that leverages technology to create transparency in fashion supply chains, bring dignity, and save lives. The startup has gone from victory to victory since its launch in April 2014, and has recently won second place in the Innovating Justice Forum and been selected as a finalists at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. Shahd is also a Senior Consultant with The Synergos Institute, advising on matters of Social Entrepreneurship in the Middle East.
Prior to this, Shahd was a Global Fellow at Acumen Fund and has worked globally in Rwanda, Turkey, Armenia, and India. She has been a guest speaker at major global events such as Harvard Social Enterprise Conference and the Youth Philanthropy Summit. Shahd is from Saudi Arabia and holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
