I’ve got a serious soft spot for non-traditional wedding dresses. When this little styled Victorian bridal treat landed in my inbox, complete with a gorgeously fashion forward bride donning a black wedding dress, I was sold! The team of Texas wedding photographer Endless Exposures Photography, event designer Mementos Events & Design and florist Monica’s Brides put together the perfect romantic Victorian bridal in the urban loft like Fill In the Blank Studio. To evoke the true Victorian spirit, the team chose the most delicious black wedding dress, a gown from Fiancee Bridal Boutique, which featured a pink under layer topped by hand sewn black lace. To further the Victorian look and feel, a black bridal headpiece featuring a petite birdcage veil was selected as the to evoke a modern take on a Victorian feel! To match the look brought forth by the stunning black wedding dress, the team opted to work with a mix of textures when it came to the wedding decor, in the form of a glitter highlighted tablescape. Featuring a floor length black sequin tablecloth, florals were placed in crystal both short and tall, creating the perfect light reflecting balance! The last piece to the Victorian bridal was a stunning three tier wedding cake from Shazdeh Cakes that featured perfectly crafted lace like applique, a detail that beautifully echos our bride’s Victorian flavored black wedding dress. From the mix of textures to the fresh modern approach to Victorian sensibilities, there is plenty to love and much to be inspired by!
