Now, the 35-year-old founder of SmithFest, a scavenger hunt race that was launched seven years ago, has hit it big.
With the success of SmithFest, he launched several more races, including the popular Panic in the Dark and Blizzard Blast. Panic in the Dark is a 5K Nightmare Obstacle Course that takes place at night in Lowell, Mass., attracting 1,100 runners each October. Blizzard Blast is a 4-6 mile Winter Obstacle Run in January.
