Saint Lucia Tourist Board sees strong start to 2015

The Saint Lucia Tourist Board has seen a strong start to 2015, with UK operators and agents reporting good bookings to the end of February.

This comes against a backdrop of the highest total number of arrivals in the island’s history recorded for the month of January at 31,541, up 14 per cent on 2014.

Aiming to help drive sales, an integrated campaign ran during January and February, raising awareness along five themes including Beach Lover, Nature Explorer, Active Families, Luxury Traveller and Weddings & Honeymoons.

Atlyn Forde, Director of Marketing commented, “As for all UK holiday destinations, January and February are a key booking period and we were keen to support the trade and drive some early 2015 bookings to Saint Lucia.

“We’re looking forward to a great year ahead, with big names include Robin Thicke and Flo Rida confirmed for the 2015 Jazz and Arts Festival, and good airlift continuing.

“Our survey showed value for money, accommodation and weather as the three most important factors when booking a holiday and offering authentic luxury, set amid the sunshine and lush green foliage of Saint Lucia, we’re confident we can keep appealing to UK holidaymakers.”
