With 20+ years of experience in design, engineering and construction, Evolve Consultancy Director Nigel Davies defines the importance of a common data environment, as well as the role BIM plays in project efficiency and communication.

Having worked full-time for world-renowned practices, such as Buro Happold and Whitbybird, and consulted for high-profile clients, including BDP, Feilden Clegg Bradley, Foster and Partners, and Sheppard Robson, Nigel has a firsthand understanding of modern design and construction data production and exchange practices. In addition, Nigel has worked as CAD Development Manager on notable projects including the Millennium Dome and the BBC Broadcasting Centre redevelopment. He is currently chair of the AEC (UK) CAD Standards Initiative, developing off-the-shelf protocols, based on British Standards, for the structuring and exchange of design documentations.
