Sports Minister congratulates boxer Paul on AIBA medal

Minister of Sport and Community Development Shamfa Cudjoe issued congratulations to boxer Nigel Paul on his bronze medal at the 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

Paul won bronze in the superheavyweight division (+92 kg) at the championships, which ran from 24 October to 6 November.

“Paul’s historic win is a great achievement. It reflects his determination, hard work, and commitment to his craft despite the global pandemic. He continues to persevere and compete at the highest level," Minister Cudjoe said in a statement.

The Sports Minister also acknowledged the effort of national boxers Aaron Prince, Donnel Phillip, Anthony Joseph, Blessing Waldrop, coaches, and the Boxing Association.
