Chalk one up for the men.

After a pair of women won the first two rounds of SILive.com's College Basketball Bracket Challenge, Peter Fiorica won the Sweet 16 round Friday by successfully picking 8 of 8 games for 64 points under his username IRISH123.

He was the first male to win following victories by Emily Kuhn and Lois Pecoraro in the Challenge's first two rounds.

As for the overall local leader, Nino Pineiro remained the leader with 162 points. She picked 7 of 8 winners in the Sweet 16 round. If she stays on top, she'll win the top local prize of 100 pounds of meat from the Top Tomato Super Store. The meat can be any combination of chicken, beef, pork and/or veal.

But nothing is certain and no lead is safe as the tournament heads into the Elite 8 round Saturday and Sunday, so come back and check out the standings.
