Steve Taylor & The Perfect Foil take us to the roller disco with their 'Moonshot' video -- exclusive

Steve Taylor & The Perfect Foil is a new band, despite the fact that its members are all studio vets with decades of experience between them. The time they’ve spent in the music biz doesn’t seem to have killed their creativity, though.

“Moonshot,” from their Kickstarter-funded LP Goliath (out March 31 via the Sounds Familyre label), is a sprightly pop-funk tune with real sonic ambitions–think Beck’s Midnite Vultures filtered through David Bowie’s Low. It’s the kind of jam that works perfectly at roller rinks—so it’s fitting that the group shot the video on location at Rivergate Skate Center in Madison, Tennessee, where the band’s joined by a bunch of skaters who are far too young to get into their regular gigs.
