Working at Winston’s Wish

We’re passionate about giving bereaved children the support they need after the death of a parent or sibling. Join our team at Winston’s Wish as you’ll be working every day to help us achieve our vision of a society in which every bereaved child has access to the support they need.

What’s it like to work at Winston’s Wish?

Here are the answers to some common questions we get asked from prospective applicants.

Find a suitable role: All available vacancies with Winston’s Wish are advertised online. Find a position that suits you, read through the detailed job specification and follow guidelines on the advert for how to apply. If you need further instruction on the application process please email: recruitment@winstonswish.org

Once a vacancy has closed, all completed applications will be sent to the panel. We aim to complete short-listing as soon as possible and generally achieve this within 7 days of the vacancy closing. We appreciate each candidate who takes the time to apply to a vacancy at Winston’s Wish, and therefore will contact all candidates after the short-listing process to inform them of their progress.

If you are invited to interview, we will contact you to arrange the date, time and location of the interview.

Interviews

Interviews are a two-way process for us to explore further your suitability for the role and offer you the opportunity to tell us about the skills and experience outlined in your application.

After the interview

All candidates will be informed of the outcome of their interview and we aim to do this as soon as possible. However, this can sometimes be a few days after the interviews.

Successful candidates will receive written confirmation of the offer. We are happy to provide feedback to candidates who are not successful at interview stage at their request.

  • Pension – up to 4% on a matched basis, salary sacrifice scheme
  • Life insurance – up to 4 times salary
  • 25 days annual leave, plus public holidays (pro rata if part-time)
  • Childcare vouchers if applicable
