Arts and culture happening in Columbia...

March 26 - April 2

This week at the Jazz Series
"We Always Swing" Jazz Series presents two events this week. On Mar. 29, don't miss Steve Wilson’s Wilsonian’s Grain, 3:30 and 7pm at Murry's. Steve Wilson will be joined by the musicians Orrin Evans, Ugonna Okegwo, and Bill Stewart. If you want to get a real sense of what the word “ensemble” means – and see it actually in action – then you don’t want to miss this foursome at work.

Kick off Jazz Appreciation Month on Apr. 1 with a free screening of Keep On Keepin’ On – an Oscar nominated documentary that depicts the warm relationship between late, legendary trumpeter Clark Terry and a blind but talented pianist. Film starts 6pm at Ragtag Cinema.

Potted Potter
University Concert Series presents Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience, Mar. 31, 7pm at Missouri Theatre. Watch BBC’s Dan and Jeff take on the ultimate challenge, all seven Harry Potter books parodied in 70 minutes, with the help of endless costumes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props, and a generous helping of Hogwarts magic. This fantastically funny show features all your favorite characters, a special appearance from a very frightening fire-breathing dragon, and even a game of Quidditch involving the audience!

Commemorative Poster Deadline tomorrow
