There remains just under a month to submit entries for the 2018 H&V News Awards, with innovative examples of work from across the HVAC and building services supply chain being sought by judges.

Now in their 24th year, the awards continue to raise awareness of key examples of the most forward thinking solutions in heating, whether from a large multinational or sole trader.

As one of the longest running and largest ceremonies for the building services industry, previous winners of the H&V News Awards have seen huge benefits in their operations.

The 2018 awards will be presented at a special ceremony taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on April 19. The ceremony will focus on the work of consultants, private building owners, retrofit installers, safety trainers, as well as service and maintenance companies and how they have been able to meet some of the biggest challenges in heating and ventilation.

The best air movement product and building services projects of the year will be among categories awarded on the night. There is also an award for best ‘renewable project’ to honour advances that have had a demonstrable benefit in cutting carbon, improving lifecycle costs and helping realise broader environmental and operational benefits.

The ceremony will also present two separate awards for apprentices of the year. Separate prizes will be given for a candidate under the age of 21, and those aged 21 or over.

Entries will once again be selected as part of a face-to-face judging process involving over 50 stakeholders and decision makers with experience of the HVAC industry.

Categories for the H&V News Awards 2018 also include:

  • Building Services Contractor of the year 2018
  • Collaboration of the Year 2018
  • HVAC Initiative of the Year 2018
  • Retrofit Project of the Year 2018
