With the advent of smartphones and tablets we are increasingly able to work anywhere. How do we develop leaning approaches to take advantage of these changes, and at the same time answer the increasing demand for developmental assistance at any time? The answer has to be more than simply porting existing, older eLearning content. This always on, mobile world is changing how learning in the workplace operates. Mobile permits sharing and peer to peer learning in ways not possible before. It places the world at anyone's fingertips - a world of masses of content but little quality control.

This seminar investigates ideas and approaches to how we can take advantage of these major changes, and ensure that they actively contribute to the learning and development needs of our workforce.

Mark founded Atticmedia in 1996. Atticmedia focusses on the development of high quality interactive learning content, priding itself on combining the best of visual creativity with technical creativity. Atticmedia initially delivered both on brand marketing and learning, but from about 2003 focussed ever more on learning and learning communications. My role in Atticmedia was, as well as CEO, generating ideas, strategy and consultancy to our clients. In 2007 I sold to BDP Media, and in 2010 lead a management buyout, re-establishing Atticmedia as an independent agency. I am now the chairman of Atticmedia.

Making personalized, collaborative learning a reality
Joel Hellermark, CEO & Founder, Sana Labs

Collaboration and personalisation are two trends that dominate contemporary thinking about workplace learning.

Collaborative learning involves synchronous, interactive live sessions with groups of learners, and is powered by social dynamics and community.

Personalization focuses on self-paced instruction that responds to the unique needs of every learner, and is powered and scaled by AI.

Is it possible to combine these two? According to Joel it is. In this session, he will explore what it means to combine these two approaches in entirely new ways—using social dynamics to increase engagement while responding to each learner’s needs to improve learning outcomes. Join us to explore the exciting possibilities of personalized, collaborative learning.
