The World Isn't Good or Bad

We seem to have been running around a lot, doing all kinds of things, just to find a little happiness. When everything failed we looked elsewhere and thought, Maybe I can have a little peace if I move to such and such place. Unfortunately, wherever we go, we carry our own minds. We carry our own insane selves. There is nothing wrong with the outside world. Wherever you might go, you carry yourself with you. The world is never bad and it’s never good—it is neutral. These two remarkable teachers engage in an open conversation about spiritual awakening and the transformation of consciousness. Yoga became my way of coping and eventually I realized I could serve the world by sharing tools for peace of mind better than I could by stridently objecting to the military-industrial complex. In the process of becoming a whole, happy person, I gradually became a more positive influence on the world around me. Consider this report on the epidemic of stress in 2021. This is only getting worse with the pandemic. I'm grateful that Integral Yoga gave me the tools to train stress management teachers.  MORE


Peyo is the star in French hospitals and retirement homes where he meets patients and residents from pediatrics and palliative care unit, psychiatry and Alzheimer’s services. He also visits the elderly and end-of-life children at home to bring them joy and serenity. Thanks to the great sensitivity of Peyo, all patients have developed a real affection for him. The medical staff says the contact with the patients is very fruitful and sees extraordinary positive effects.

The newly re-edited version of Living Yoga: The life and teachings of Swami Satchidananda—a documentary film that tells the story of the birth of the modern Yoga movement and its impact on the world—is now available with Spanish subtitles for digital download. The film features archival footage from around the globe and segments with Dr. Dean Ornish and Dr. Mehmet Oz highlight the positive impact of Yoga practices and vegetarian lifestyle on health and wellness.


New York's Channel 4 reported that Eleven Madison Park—considered one of the finest restaurants in both New York City and the world—will also be completely meatless and almost entirely vegan, starting June 10."If Eleven Madison Park is truly at the forefront of dining and culinary innovation, to me it’s crystal clear that this is the only place to go next," chef-owner Daniel Humm told the Wall Street Journal in a recently published article.
