The importance of good candidates cannot be underestimated, and we’re talking to one this week who commented that “BRC has such a good understanding of social housing recruitment in the South West.”

Bev Kellie first started working with BRC Jobs 18 years ago and has been an ongoing temp ever since. We spoke to her about her experiences.

When and how did you first hear of BRC?

“I found BRC doing an online search for social housing recruitment, and their website was so clear. I started my first temp position with them in 2004.”

What social housing roles have you worked in?

“I’ve always been a Housing Options Officer, which is a specialist and niche position. BRC has always listened really well to my requirements as a temp and delivered fantastic roles, year after year.”

What areas have you worked in since 2004?

“The team at BRC have given me a good variety of social housing recruitment contracts with local authorities across Somerset, Devon and Dorset.”

Have you been given consistent and ongoing assignments?

“Social housing is a small, tightly-knit sector. BRC are specialists in the sector, and the team have always been friendly, approachable, and with an absolutely brilliant social housing department.”

Why have you continued to work with BRC?

“They consider the needs of the temp and not just the client. Their two-way communication is superb, and I always feel heard and valued.”

What do you like most about BRC?

“They are really flexible and understand that temps often have other commitments. I’m also a personal carer, and BRC has found me a position with a Somerset authority where I’m working fully remote at the moment.”

Is there anything else you’d like to add?
