This RPG plays itself, so you don't have to bother

Say hello to Dreeps, a role-playing game, of sorts, for mobile phones.

Like many RPGs, it features a cute character exploring an alien world, interacting with objects, talking to people, getting into battles. The only major departure from standard norms is that, in this game, the player is not required to offer any input.

That's right, the game just plays itself. You, the player, make no contribution whatsoever, above and beyond turning the game on.

Designed by Hisanori Hiraoka, it's an alarm clock, which will wake you up in the morning and start playing until you send it to sleep at night. You can, at any time, check in on how the game is progressing.

"In Dreeps, you just have to set the alarm, that's all," states the game's website. "You can have a look at the adventure on the phone put on you desk while working, during snack time, just enjoy the game at your pace. There's almost no text in the game. You can imagine your own version of the story with the hints hidden in visuals and sound."

Dreeps is available on the App Store for $2.99.
