Texas Anchor Leaving One Station to Work in Sales at Another

John Gilbert is an anchor for Gray Television’s KBTX in Bryan-College Station, Texas. Gilbert is quitting his on-air gig and going to Gray’s station in Waco (KWTX) to work as a account executive.

In an open letter to viewers, Gilbert thanks his GM, Mike Wright and says he will miss the viewers.

Gilbert has worked at KBTX for four years. In his 30 years of reporting and anchoring, he’s worked in Tyler, Texas, West Palm Beach, Fla., Chattanooga, Tenn., and Lake Charles, La.
