The Blank Canvas.

On our last visit to the Boston Design Center things got real! Our new showroom space has been gutted and painted and is ready for carpentry! While there is certainly still work to be done it’s very exciting to see our space start to emerge.

We also took a little time to meet our new neighbors, Jill from Discover Tile welcomed us to the BDC and was excited to see another independent showroom coming into the Design Center. We stopped in to Farrow and Ball to discuss how their lovely colors can be worked into our new displays. We even did a little preemptive accessory shopping at Ritz Associates, looking for task chairs and stools for our (yet to be built) work tables.

We checked out Canteen – the unique eating space at the Innovation and Design Building that hosts different food trucks every day. And we met with the creative team at Jamestown L.P who lease and manage both the BDC and the IDB.

The potential of both the space and the innovative people we will be in company with at the Boston Design Center is incredibly exciting. We will keep you posted with updates on our progress and our moving in events as they draw nearer.

We’re hoping that the very large snow pile will be gone before we move in, although it does look like a killer sledding hill…
