Monogrammed linens and British sofas

Personalised bathroom linens and British sofas to add a touch of classic style to your home

Seat of yearning

Made by hand in Long Eaton, Derbyshire – the centre of British upholstery – Loaf’s Achilles sofa has a solid beech frame and hand-turned oak legs. Better still, the cushions are feather-wrapped for supreme comfort. It costs from £1,195 and will be available from March 1st, along with 40 other new spring designs, at loaf.com.

Light and shade

Featuring the work of five young textile-design graduates on cushions, lampshades and framed prints, Surface View’s new Edits range is full of eye-catching pieces such as Kaila Cox’s Indigo Horizons lampshade. £80 (surfaceview.co.uk).

Floor plan

The interior architect Thomas Griem’s first foray into rug design is a collaboration with Jacaranda Carpets. Influenced by the aesthetics of the 1920s, they are traditionally hand-knotted in Nepal using Chinese silk and wool from the Himalayas. Shown here is the Deco design, from £3,290 (tg-studio.co.uk).

Well lettered

The family firm Volga Linen has a fine range from Europe and Russia. As well as fabric by the metre, there are curtains and table and bed linens, all of which can be monogrammed. The service costs from £6 per letter and orders arrive within two weeks, which seems a reasonable wait for a future heirloom. Bath towels: large, £64, and small, £26 (volgalinen.co.uk).
