The next Movember? ‘Mullet March’ raises funds for mental health

CALGARY – First moustaches in “Movember” and now mullets in March?

Fifteen-year-old Lord Beaverbrook High School student Cody Crawford and fellow students in the southeast school’s leadership group are taking part in “Mullet March.”

Cutting their hair in the “business in the front, party in the back” style, the teens are trying to raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association.

“It’s kind of sad to see someone that has a great potential have it dampered by a mental illness,” said Crawford.

Crawford is also encouraging other students to sport mullets — a good charity challenge for people who are too young to grow a moustache in the popular November event that raises funds for prostate cancer.

Crawford’s personal goal is to raise $2,000 this March.
