Sajeev Busawah

BSc(Hons), FCCA

Sajeev currently holds the post of Chief Executive Officer and ACCA Course Leader at the London College of Accountancy and he has been lecturing at LCA for the below-mentioned papers. The pass rates achieved for these papers have always been very high with many students scoring excellent marks.
 

Sajeev started his career in the textile sector as Assistant Accountant before moving on to the secondary education sector where he taught Accounting and Business Studies. Sajeev has also been lecturing for other private training institutions in Management and Financial Accounting. 
 

Qualifying in 2004, Sajeev excelled in papers 3.5 (Strategic Business Planning and Development) and 3.7 (Strategic Financial Management) where he won the first prize among students in Mauritius. He also won the first prize for overall best performance among students in Mauritius for the final June 2004 ACCA exams.

Maubarakahmad Boodhun

ICSA, MBA

Mr Boodhun has extensive experience in the public sector and is presently working as Permanent Secretary.  He has lectured for the last 29 years in Management and Law related subjects as a freelance but also at the Charles Telfair Institute and the University of Technology of Mauritius before joining LCA.  Mr Boodhun has a deep inclination for matters related to Management, Law and Corporate Governance.

Vijay Bhattu

CIMA

Mr Bhattu held the post of Deputy General Manager of the Sugar Planters Mechanical Pool Corporation where in addition to the supervision of the Finance division, he was also responsible for the Administration Department.
 

Vijay holds more than 20 years' experience at Management level in a wide range of sectors locally and abroad.  He has worked in the Textile, Hotel and Tourism, and also Governement Sector.

Benee Mahendra

BSc (Hons), ACCA

 

Mahendra has 28 years of experience as educator at Secondary level and 19 years of experience for ACCA in the field of law, management and management accounting.

 

He has also given lectures at University of Mauritius and MEF business school for more than a decade.

 

He has a passion for teaching and has always been in search of innovative methods of teaching and learning. 

 

His students have excelled at different levels. His students came among first 10 best for Accounting HSC in Mauritius, first in Mauritius for ACCA SBL and first in the world for ABE Management Accounting.

 

He always aims to simply the syllabus for the students, helping them to understand, to analyse, to evaluate and also to memorise.

Prakasam Joganah

FCCA

Mr Joganah has lectured at the University of Mauritius and Charles Telfair Institute before joining the LCA in January 2009.  He specialises in Financial Management and Management Accounting papers, taking an exam focused approach in class.  He has gained an excellent reputation for his accessible, methodical and motivational tuition, which will help you to approach your exams with confidence.

Over the course of his career, he has also worked as General Accountant and Senior Internal Auditor of the Central Electricity Board.

Deodutt Ramkishore

Mr Ramkishore has been a practitioner for the last 27 years in the accounting and auditing field.  He is specialised in taxation papers for the past 25 years and has produced several prize winners in taxation and advanced taxation papers.

Ahmad Abdool Gaffoor

FCCA, MBA

Ahmad has been a practitioner in the accounting and auditing field for the last 32 yeras.  Mr Gaffoor started at Bacha & Bacha Chartered Accountants before joining the National Audit Office.  He has also lectured at University of Mauritius, DCDM Business School and other private institutions before joining LCA.

He produced various prize winners in F8, P1 & P7 and the pass rates of his students are very often above ACCA worldwide rate.

Yuven Peechen

BSc, MSc, ACCA

Yuven has taught finance and accounting modules at various public and private universities and other training institutions in Mauritius before joining LCA in January 2022.  Yuven specialises in Financial Management, adopting a digital approach to teaching and learning to easily adapt to the computer-based exams environment.  His methodological and exam-focused approach, with extensive practice of questions, have helped his students score excellent marks in the Financial Management paper.

Yuven started his career at KPMG before moving on to the tertiary education sector, as lecturer, and secondary education sector, as educator in accounting.  Yuven ranked first in Mauritius in ACCA Papers Financial Management, Audit and Assurance and Advanced Performance Management.  He also ranked in top 15^th worldwide in the papers Advanced Financial Management and Advanced Performance Management.

Dr Ushad Subadar

ACMA, CGMA

 

Dr Subadar has been in academia over the last 15 years and has served different leadership positions ranging from Director, Head of Department, Chairperson of Advisory and Appeals Committees, Lead Investigator to Project Convenor. He has lectured on a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Dr Subadar has also published a significant number of research papers in leading international peer-reviewed journals and has been the principal investigator in some funded research projects related to field of business strategy, accounting and financial markets. He has also been involved in local and international consultancy projects. Some of the projects include training needs analysis in collaboration with HRDC, financial literacy programme, Services Sector Development in SADC Region under the Southern African Development Research Network (SADRN), Employability Strategy and Sustainability Strategies amongst others.
