The Harrell & Nowak Best Lawyers of Tomorrow Scholarship is open to students who have been accepted to an ABA accredited law school for a full-time degree in Louisiana. The scholarship is available to individuals who are outstanding and promising scholars and possess a commitment for excellence. The H&N Scholarship is a national program that annually grants one (1) scholarship of $1,000.00 to a student entering their first year of a Louisiana law school. Eligibility requirements and awards are at the sole discretion of Harrell & Nowak and are not guaranteed.
Eligibility
To be eligible an applicant must show:
- Proof of his/her acceptance into an ABA-accredited U.S. law school in Louisiana (Tulane, Loyola, LSU, SULC) on or before the application deadline (to start in fall of the same year).
- Applicant must demonstrate academic excellence and leadership qualities.
- Applicant must have earned an undergraduate cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicant must be enrolled in law school in Louisiana on a FULL-TIME basis in the fall of 2015. LLM and/or part-time students are ineligible.
All applications must be submitted online via the Harrell & Nowak Scholarship Application channel, and must include the following uploaded application materials:
- Provide undergraduate transcript(s) (and graduate transcripts) as applicable
- Fill out a resume page
- 2 written references
- Response to essay question
