The Town of Gilbert is seeking a highly skilled research and analysis professional to fill the position of Economic Development Analyst.  The individual selected will report to the Economic Development Director and will be tasked with performing statistical and analytical research for economic development projects, and creating and maintaining related information, resources and databases.

Ideal candidates for the position will possess an independent, self-starter work style and will also be able to integrate well into a team environment.  They will be deadline and results oriented, and have experience collecting and analyzing business and industry-level data, conducting fiscal and economic impact analysis, writing briefs and white papers, and developing and presenting material as a subject matter expert.  They will be adept at forming strong, productive working relationships with internal customers and individuals representing outside agencies.  The individual selected will provide strategic research direction for key initiatives of the organization, expand economic development research capabilities through identification of current and effective resources, tools and approaches, and coordinate research on economic development topics including macroeconomic trends, technology and innovation, emerging industries, trade and exports, labor market and workforce, taxes and economic development incentives.

Starting pay will be between the beginning and job rate ($74,683) of the posted salary range, DOQ.
