Meet Taylor.

She’s a delightful undergrad studying with an eye towards going to veterinary school when she finishes her bachelor’s degree.

In addition to being an adorable teenage girl, she also got an affinity for shooting.  Like most things, she does it well.

That’s a Beretta Model 12 subgun.

I had one as a kid, only mine was all plastic.

This one is a little more…  stout.

No problem, Taylor says.

That first magazine was just a warm up.  “Now let me show you how it’s done,” she brags.

FamousTaylor4

I count six cases in the air and she’s still shooting – and on target.  Now she’s just showing off.

“But that’s just a 9mm,” she says.  “Let’s try a .45.”

FamousTaylor7

Who was it that said they carry a .45 because they don’t make a .46?

Yeah.

FamousTaylor9

That’s three in the air, but it’s a slower cyclic rate on the US M3 “Grease Gun”.

The next time someone interested in guns tells you they are afraid of them and worried that a person can’t control them, point them towards this 18-year-old college coed.  Taylor is able to handle these more advanced firearms by using good fundamentals of shooting.  She doesn’t belong to any Mystical Order of Secret Stuff.

If an 18-year-old coed can wield a full auto gun, surely the average Joe can handle a semi-auto pistol or rifle.

Oh yeah, did we mention she’s single?

  1. My daughter shoots nice groups with a .22 at 50 yards, and scores quite well in an indoor air rifle league.

Shooting as well as she does would be nearly impossible for most people, no matter who they are.

  2. Love this article and pics! Taylor and her family are wonderful people with a love for helping others and increasing knowledge of proper/safe firearm handling. Well done, Taylor. 🙂
