Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
There is no other way to put it; Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is one of the most dangerous men in the world today.
Israel is not a super-power but it may as well be one.
It has acted with impunity since after the 1967 war knowing whatever actions it takes will be supported by its primary benefactor, the US.
Netanyahu is just the latest in a long line of P.M's that have reigned in a country whose policies against the Palestinian's can only be described as apartheid.
As for Netanyahu, with his obsession over Iran and its nuclear program-even as the Israeli Mossad has emphatically concluded Iran is not seeking to build a nuclear weapon-he remains undeterred and defiant, taking up his invitation to speak before a joint session of Congress next week as well as taking to the podium at the AIPAC convention, where he intends to drum up support for an Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear sites even as the P5plus 1 are completing negotiations with the Iranian's that could finally end the sanctions against that country and bring to an end the West's paranoia over an Iranian nuclear weapon.
Yet here's the bottom line: Netanyahu knows he can attack Iran with impunity-even in defiance of President Obama-because he'll still have the support from Congress which makes him so dangerous.
Of course the US swaggers all over the world acting with impunity but so does Israel in the Middle East.
A solution is available to reining in the mad Netanyahu; stop payment on the $3.5 billion the US sends each year to the Israeli military and make it absolutely clear the US will not support Israel attacking Iran's nuclear facilities but if it decides to attack suspend all diplomatic relations with Israel and make it the pariah state where it has no allies; well almost.
Netanyahu has secretly been aligning himself with Saudi Arabia-the other country obsessed with Iran-which raises another question why is the US in bed with this extremist Wahhabbi Sunni nation that funds Sunni extremism throughout the world? And to ratchet up the situation further the Saudi's have made it known it will allow Israeli planes to fly over its country to attack Iran.
So the situation has become enflamed in the extreme.
An Israeli attack on Iran will bring catastrophic consequences the least of which would probably be an Iranian retaliatory strike of convention missiles on Israel proper possibly sparking a wider war that could include nuclear weapons.
Couple this situation with the current war in Syraq against ISIS and now the US planning to send more lethal weapons to the post coup regime in Ukraine and the world could be on the brink of nuclear conflagration.
It all seems like a tinder box ready to explode with the despicable Netanyahu holding the match that could spark it all.
Insanity is the only way to describe it all.
