The ‘Origami 9010’ doors by Yoraco González are the first edition of sculptural furniture influenced by the traditional art of paper folding. The series of origami objects is part of SEREIN’s sustainable design project DACHWOOD, inspired by the architecture and history of Berlin ‘altbau.’ The fully handcrafted edition originates from the artist’s study of using clear cuts to achieve folds and the reclaimed altbau doors as sheets of paper.

RAL Classic 9010 Pure White paint and the technique of melted voluminous lacquer unite the edition of 50, while the unique qualities and history of each door make the design of each piece truly one-of-a-kind. Each piece is signed by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The first showing of the the Origami 9010 door was held at the fine art exhibition THE SUBLIME (Yoraco González - design, Gonn Mosny - painting). Berlin, September 2014. Followed by the Design Meile show, Design From Berlin, (Stilwerk/First Glass). Berlin, October 2014.
