What to wear (and pack) to watch golf? It’s a tougher question than you think! Trump National Doral, host to the WGC Cadillac Championship, is very familiar with tournament attire and is here to share a few do’s and don'ts so you’ll be prepared for your next tournament. 

Note, each tournament may vary on specific regulations, but these guidelines are a good place to start your search. 

What to Wear 

You’ll be outside and walking around all day so it’s important to dress comfortably, but you should also avoid being overly casual. Shorts or khakis and a nice golf shirt or button down are recommended for the guys, while sundresses or shorts and a blouse are perfect for the ladies. A few tips everyone should remember: 

• Wear comfortable footwear: avoid heels, flip flops or basketball shoes and opt for a ballet flat or sporty loafer instead. Golf shoes are also off limits unless you’re inside the ropes. 
  
• Wear light colors: light colors will help you stay cool and keep you from being a distraction. 
• Accessorize: wear a hat if you’re sensitive to the sun (you will be spending all day outside), but make sure it’s not distracting. We suggest a golf cap for men and a wide-brimmed sun hat for women. 

What to Bring 

Before you pack your bag for the day, check the guidelines each tournament has to see if your bag will be allowed. A few important things for the day include:

• Plastic Rain Poncho 
• Binoculars 

What to Take Home
