Judge releases body cam video of shooting of Jeremy Mardis

MARKSVILLE — After being introduced into the record Wednesday during a motions hearing, the body cam footage that shows the shooting of Jeremy Mardis and his father now is public.

Though edited, viewers should be warned that it still contains some graphic content and language.

Town Talk reporter Melissa Gregory has returned from Marksville and motion hearings involving the cases of Derrick Stafford and Norris Greenhouse Jr. In addition, the judge ruled that prior incidents involving Stafford may be used at trial. Stafford's attorneys have indicated they will appeal that ruling.
