Standard Shipping
The following are Wet Paint Online Store's Standard Shipping Rates for the 48 contiguous United States. Orders in the contiguous 48 United States of $99 or more qualify for FREE SHIPPING*! These rates cover our standard shipping. At this time US non-contiguous states and territories are assessed a $5 fee in addition to the Standard Shipping prices.
Our standard shipping pricing structure is order value based, barring oversize items and other special requirements. Our website does not factor for product size or quantity, only order value. We have determined that this format allows us to offer the most predictable and equitable shipping costs regardless of domestic destination.
*Special shipping requirements (expedited service, carrier of your choice, oversize products, large volume shipments, a dimensionally oversize cumulative order, international, among others) do not qualify for these rates; in these cases the customer is notified via email before the shipment is processed. Shipping of class kits, large light pads, easels, furniture, canvas and boards in profiles larger than 18x24", and sheet paper are among those items that do not qualify for these rates.

Other Shipping Methods:
Pickup In Store or Curbside - Please change the Shipping address to Wet Paint 1684 Grand Ave. St. Paul, MN 55105. Once you receive a final email saying the order status has changed to 'Processed', feel free to come by the store to pickup. If you prefer to not come inside, give us a call when you arrive and we'll bring the order out to you.
Delivery to Class - This method is for local, pre-arranged delivery by Wet Paint staff to a specified instructor or classroom. It is not valid for any orders that require shipment by a carrier. The Shipping address should be entered as the school location.
International - Orders shipping to International locations require an individual quote. We will reply via email with more specific shipping options and pricing via the postal service. Once a shipping method is approved via email, we will make arrangements for payment of the shipping charge. More details below.
Class Registration - Use this when checking out for a Wet Paint Class Registration Fee only.
Gift Card - Use this when purchasing a gift card only. It will be mailed First Class. Gift Cards currently do not work as payment on the website, but are good via phone, email or in-store.
Local Delivery - $8 flat fee with $50 minimum purchase. Within Minneapolis and St. Paul city limits - core metro only. Deliveries are currently happening a few days a week and it may not be the same day you order. Our delivery person will call upon arrival. Please call or email if you are interested in Local Delivery.
Donation - When we participate in charity programs where the product ordered will be donated, this option will be available to indicate your donation intention. Product ordered with this shipping method will not be shipped to the purchaser but set aside for the charity.
Order Processing
Barring unusual circumstances, orders are processed Monday-Friday, within 2 business days of receipt. If there are issues with your order, including product availability, we will contact you during processing. Payment is processed immediately when the order is placed. Order changes will be handled manually with payment being adjusted through refund or additional payment transaction. For your security, payment information is encrypted.
Shipping transit times for the 48 contiguous United States generally range from 2-5 business days after processing - though we have seen delays. Orders are shipped using USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground at our discretion. Please include a full street address, including suite, apt. or unit number. We will accommodate PO Boxes when possible. Please note that our Standard Shipping Fees are value based, regardless of shipper. Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, and US Territories, including APOs: These are shipped USPS Priority Mail where available.
Solvents & Flammable Products: Due to the required ground shipping of Class 3 items, shipping times may exceed our standard 2-5 day delivery estimate. Expedited shipping is not available for orders containing these items.
If you register for a class, please review our Cancellation Policy. Once we've reached minimum enrollment, you'll receive a reminder email with a materials list and any additional details.

Pre-Order Items: Items marked as Pre-Order are paid for at the time of ordering, but will not be fully processed for shipment or pick-up until it has arrived. Orders that include Pre-Order Items will ship complete once the full order is on hand.
International shipping
Wet Paint is happy to provide service to our international customers, if United States Postal Service shipping to that location is possible. USPS service to international locations is currently in flux. We do our best to stay on top of this, but new restrictions come into play unpredictably, so we will assess all orders on a case by case basis.
Orders placed online will not include a shipping charge - we will quote via email and arrange payment for the shipping charge separate from the product order. If you would like a shipping quote in advance of ordering, please call or email the store. If you have already created a shopping cart, feel free to screenshot or copy your list into an email to us at sales@wetpaintart.com. In order to quote accurately, we’ll need your address and a list of the items you are interested in. We utilize the postal service for our international shipping, which is currently seeing delays. Most dimensionally small orders cost $30-$70 to ship and may take a few weeks to arrive.
When ordering online for shipment to an International address, please do not checkout as a guest. Creating an account allows us to send a link to a draft order that we'll need to create to have you pay for your shipping fee.
For UK Customers - Due to the VAT rules implemented in 2021 and the requirements needed to be in compliance with them, we have implemented a minimum order requirement for orders going to the UK. The minimum order amount is $190 USD in product, which correlates to the amount that does not require us to collect and remit those taxes back the tax authorities, though those taxes will be due by the recipient as the shipment clears customs. This does not include shipping charges which will need to be quoted for each specific order. Please email sales@wetpaintart.com to order.
For EU Customers - we are not collecting and remitting VAT for our orders. You will be required to pay that to customs prior to receiving the package.
Backorders
If items are not in stock, the customer will be notified. No additional shipping charges are assessed for backorders, unless the customer wishes to add items to the backorder, in which case standard shipping rates are applied.
Returns & Refunds
Shipping fees are non-refundable. Shipping errors made by Wet Paint or product damaged in shipping are the responsibility of Wet Paint; in correcting the error, no further shipping charges will be assessed, unless the customer adds product to the original order.
If the customer has made an error in ordering or wishes to return the products, they are responsible for shipping and must return the product in saleable condition to Wet Paint (within 60 days of receipt) before credit can be issued. In the cases of customer error or choice to return, Wet Paint can arrange shipping for the customer, but the customer is responsible for payment of the additional shipping. Some items will be charged a 25% restocking fee.
Regular stock items in salable condition (unused, packaging intact) returned within 60 days of purchase will not be charged a restocking fee of 25%.
School kits are custom made items and are subject to a 25% restocking fee if returned or not picked up after 30 days of purchase.
Sheet paper in salable condition returned within 60 days will be charged a 10% restocking fee and 25% after 60 days.
Special Order items may not be eligible for return and refund. This is assessed on a case by case basis and a 25% restocking fee will be charged if eligible.
Tax Exempt customers
At this time, all out-of-state (MN) orders are tax exempt. If you are in the state of MN and need to order under tax exempt status, please contact us before placing an order. We can apply tax exempt information to your online account, but we will need to have your documentation on file and verified before the order is placed to get everything set up properly. Gift Wrapping Services
When gift wrapping options are available, the website marks each item to be wrapped individually. If you would like items bundled for wrapping, please add the gift wrapping option to one item (for each bundle) and then indicate in the Gift Message field or order notes in Checkout which items you would like grouped together.
Coupons Codes and Special Promotions
We do not distribute coupon codes to marketing websites. Valid coupon codes will be distributed directly from us or a partnering organization or artist, specific to a particular promotion. Any coupon codes found online are invalid and likely a phishing scam.
Some promotions, like Buy X Get Y, do not compute during ordering and are handled manually.
California Customers
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals. Some common art materials that contain these chemicals are solvents and solvent based products including paints, mediums and adhesives & heavy metal pigments.
Gift Cards

Scam & Fraud Statement
We screen diligently for credit card fraud and pursue fraudulent orders to the full extent of the law.
Reseller Policy
Sales to online-only resellers and similar businesses is not compliant with several of our vendor, collaborator, and wholesaler agreements and is not permitted by Wet Paint Artists’ Materials and Framing also known as Wet Paint and wetpaintart.com.

All customers are notified if any variances from these policies are necessary due to the nature of their order. In these cases the customer must approve any changes before the order is processed.
