Amsdell Buys Georgia Asset

 

Amsdell Cos. has acquired Fairburn 85 Self Storage in Fairburn, Georgia. Coro Realty sold the asset for $20.2 million. The property has operated under the Extra Space Storage brand. Luke Elliott of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller.

 

 

 

Rosewood Gains Chapel Hill Facility

 

Rosewood Property Company acquired a storage facility in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Extra Space Storage will serve as property management. Rosewood’s storage portfolio spans 22 states.

 

Prestige Buys Dozen Locations

 

Prestige Storage acquired a 12-property portfolio in western Michigan with partner Peaceable Street Capital. The facilities are in Muskegon, Fruitport, Spring Lake, Kent City and West Olive. Prestige Storage operates more than 50 properties in seven states.

 

Ackerman Brokers Florida Sales

 

Ackerman & Co. brokered the sale of two newly built storage properties in Venice and Naples, Florida, on behalf of buyer York RE Capital Partners. The Simpson Organization was the seller. David Paulson, Stephen Lapierre and Wyatt Whitaker represented the buyer in the transaction.

SkyView Advisors brokered the following sales:

•    The three-property Cloverleaf Storage portfolio in Jonestown, Pennsylvania. David Smith, Richard Riddle and Scott Schoettlin brokered the sale.
•    Ace Storage in Billings, Montana. Brandon Lavern, Aaron Sanchez and Schoettlin managed the transaction.

 

Marcus & Millichap Brokers Vehicle Storage

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of the five-property Cuzin’s Vehicle Storage portfolio in Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, Largo, and Sarasota, Florida. Meir Perlmuter, Nathan Coe, Gabriel Coe and Brett Hatcher represented the seller, and procured the buyer, Macritchie Inc.

 

JV Fuels Store Space Growth

 

Storage Point Capital and Store Space Self Storage agreed to enter into a joint venture to acquire storage properties. Store Space aims to reach 500 facilities nationwide.

 

Suburban Chicago Gaining Storage

 

Buffalo Grove Self Storage LLC plans to build a facility in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, in suburban Chicago. The property will be third-party managed by a national operator.

 

OpenTech Creates Experience Center

 

OpenTech Alliance Inc. has launched an in-person Experience Center that allows customers to test drive operational tools and tenant-facing services. Users will be able to explore the full suite of OpenTech solutions, including access control, kiosks and remote-management services. The center is in Phoenix.

 

PTI Releases HELOX

 

PTI Security Systems announced a new product called the HELOX padlock. The HELOX merges fortified steel with keyless Bluetooth technology. The padlock integrated with applications EasyCode, StorLogix Mobile and StorLogixCloud.

 

Absolute Adds in South Carolina

 

Absolute Storage Management will provide management services for Absolute Storage in Aiken, South Carolina.

 

Five Star Grows in Minnesota

 

Five Star Storage completed construction on a facility in Rochester, Minnesota, the company’s 34th location. Five Star is in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Montana.
