Traffic delays are expected today in St. Augustine

Traffic delays are expected today in St. Augustine during the Colonial Grand Muster Torchlight Parade.

The procession begins at 7 p.m. at the Castillo de San Marcos and heads to the City Gate across Avenida Menendez at Orange Street, according to a city news release. The parade route from there is south on St. George Street to the Government House and the Plaza de la Constitucion.

The event is a re-enactment of a Spanish military parade of the 1740s.

Road closures are not planned. Police will escort parade participants.
