Northern Plains Drought Update & Outlook - Tribal Webinar Series

Please join us for the Northern Plains Drought Update & Outlook Tribal Webinar on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 1 pm MT/ 2 pm CT. This webinar will provide a current look at drought in the Northern Great Plains and provide an outlook on what to expect this winter.

As we move into the winter season we will look at the impacts of the current drought and the outlook for the coming months. Also we will discuss the Mesonet station program from SDSU and opportunities to gather the best available data on tribal lands. NOAA, USDA, and the NC CASC partnered to host this drought webinar series throughout the summer and fall to provide resources to Tribal resource managers in the Northern Plains. Our goal is to provide relevant information on the drought and its impacts to assist with near and long term preparation and planning.

This webinar is organized in partnership with NOAA’s National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center (NC CASC), NOAA NCEI Regional Climate Services, and the USDA Northern Plains Climate Hub.
