The seasonally adjusted estimate of retail turnover fell 1.8% in June 2021:
This follows a rise of 0.4% in May 2021 and a rise of 1.1% in April 2021.

 
The following industries changed in trend terms in June 2021:
Food retailing +1.5%, Household goods retailing -1.3%, Cafes restaurants and takeaway food services -6.0%, Clothing, footwear and personal accessory retailing -9.5%, Department stores -7.0%and Other retailing -1.6%.

 
The following states and territories changed in trend terms in June 2021:
NSW -2.8%, VIC -5.0%, QLD -0.7%, the ACT -1.3%, NT +1.5%,
TAS
-2.7%, SA -1.1%, WA -1.5%.
