Joe Walsh: Islamists Should Next Behead Those Who Wouldn't Show Charlie Hebdo Cartoon

Former Congressman Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) posted a controversial tweet on Monday calling out networks who chose not to run an image of the first cover of Charlie Hebdo after the Paris terrorist attacks.

The latest cover of Charlie Hebdo -- a satirical French magazine -- features the Prophet Muhammed holding a sign that says "Je suis Charlie," or "I am Charlie," under the text "Tout est pardonne," which translates to "All is forgiven."

Walsh slammed those who wouldn't show the cover, saying they should be attacked next:

Walsh later tweeted that "Islamists don't take orders from me" and attempted to clarify his comments:

HuffPost's Michael Calderone reports The New York Times is the only top U.S. newspaper not to publish the cover. CNN, ABC, NBC and the AP were also among those who didn't publish the cover.

This post has been updated with more tweets from Walsh.
