Restoring unstructured play to a generation of kids
As part of our PBIS incentives, we participated in Global School Play Day where all of our students spent 30-45 minutes in free play with any toys/games of their choice. The only restriction was there could be no screen based activity- all lo-tech! The students had a wonderful time and there was evidence of huge imaginations all around
“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”

Shelton Career and College Awareness Week- April 24-28, 2017
A week of activities throughout the district to help students connect school to real world work
As part of Career and College Awareness week, Cathy Lindstrom, our guidance counselor, is planning a Career Day for Mohegan School students on April 25th, 2017 from 9:00a.m until 11:00a.m. She is seeking the help of parents and guardians to present to grades Kindergarten through four who would come to the school and speak about their career to approximately 4 groups of children in the classroom for about 20 minutes at a time . If you are able to do this and would like to be a part of our Career Day, please email her at clindstrom@sheltonpublicschools.org by March 17th.
Help Support the Budget!!
I am always available to hear any of your concerns and causes for celebration! Your children are always on the forefront of our minds as we take the journey with them toward becoming the best people they can be. Please don't hesitate to reach out at any time for a meeting or phone chat.
