After an idle weekend of action, the No. 8 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine beach volleyball team returns to the sand for the Big West Challenge, March 25-26 at  the Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex on the campus of Cal Poly.
 
The Rainbow Wahine (14-3) will take on six Big West opponents over the span of two days in a prelude to the Big West Tournament next month in Honolulu. UH already has faced a pair of its conference rivals this year, having defeated Cal Poly and No. 12 Long Beach State a combined for times in the Best in the West tournament, March 4-5, in Laguna Beach. 
 
The Big West Challenge will kick off a long road stretch for the 'Bows who will play a total of 11 matches over eight days. Following the Big West Challenge, UH will play at UCLA on March 29, followed by the East Meets West Invitational in Manhattan Beach, March 31-April 1.

UH is currently riding a 12-match win streak, the third-longest win streak in program history. The 2018 squad won a school-record 32 straight matches, while the 2015 team reeled off 13 straight.

All-Time Series Records: The 'Bows are 8-0 against both CSUN and CSU Bakersfield…the 'Bows are 4-0 against Sacramento State...the teams will meet for just the second time in the last four years...UH is 7-1 against UC Davis…the lone loss to the Aggies came in last year's Big West Challenge at  Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach...that loss to UCD snapped UH's 105-match win streak against unranked opponents that stretched for nearly 10 years…UH is 22-8 all-time against LBSU, including a pair of close 3-2 wins earlier this month in Laguna Beach…the 'Bows have defeated the Beach six straight times and in 14 of the last 16 meetings…UH is 13-10 all-time against Cal Poly and have won just once in five matches in San Luis Obispo…the Mustangs defeated UH four of the last five times before UH picked up a pair of wins (3-2, 4-1) at the Best in the West Tournament earlier this month. 
 
'Bow Bits: UH has used 11 different combinations of pairs this year…Kylin Loker and Riley Wagoner are the only pair to have played together in all 17 matches…the duo is 13-4 on the season, playing the majority of its matches at the No. 2 flight (10-3)...2022 All-Americans Kaylee Glagau and Brooke Van Sickle have played the last 14 matches together and are a scorching 13-1 this year…the veteran tandem has won 10 straight matches, seven of them coming in straight sets…four true freshman - Sarah Burton, Sophie Buschmann, Caprice Lorenzo and Sydney Miller - have also seen competition this year…Miller has seen the most action, going a stellar 10-1 with partner Chandler Cowell while playing exclusively at the No. 5 flight.  

Versus Ranked Squads: UH is 90-76 (.542) all-time versus ranked squads, including 4-3 this season….two of the wins came against then-No. 14 Long Beach State on March 4 and 5.

Versus Unranked Squads: UH is 125-3 (.977) all-time  vs unranked squads, including 10-0 this year…the 'Bows are 15-1 against unranked teams on the road and  54-2 all-time against unranked teams at neutral sites.
