Mapping Challenges

By The National Map Corps

Mapping challenges encourage users to edit a specific feature type within a geographic area, or address a specific issue in the data. Any volunteers who participate in mapping challenges receive special recognition in the TNMCorps map editor and on social media pages. 

How to Participate in a Mapping Challenge

The structures data displayed in the TNMCorps editor are grouped into mapping challenges based on issue or geography, but this page is dedicated only to geography based mapping challenges. Geography based mapping challenges follow the U.S. Topo map production schedule to ensure that the data in states up for production is as up-to-date as possible.
