Tiny Cartridge 3DS

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes trailer. I forgot this ships in a few days! Though it looks nothing like the Might & Magic series you might remember, partially due to its anime art style but also because of its puzzle combat, I hear this game is bangin’ (which I presume is a good thing).

It’s mix of puzzle, RPG, and strategy elements (and seemingly generic characters) invites comparisons to Puzzle Quest, but this looks like it has a unique combat system that sets it apart from other clones like Gyromancer and Puzzle Kingdoms – chalk that up to the gumption of indie developer Capybara Games, the same Toronto studio behind PSN’s beloved puzzler Critter Crunch.

According to Brandon Sheffield, a name which may or may not actually mean anything to you depending on whether you’re a fan of Insert Credit (R.I.P.), this is “the best DS puzzle/RPG hybrid that nobody’s heard of.”

Buy: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes ($27.99)
