New HDR Videoboard Greets Fans at Kansas City Royals Home Opener

Diversified helps shine and polish crown jewel of Kauffman Stadium for a heightened fan experience

As baseball fans excitedly return to the ballpark after a condensed 2020 season with limited game attendance, the Kansas City Royals are giving them something extra to cheer about. The home opener debuted the new crown jewel of Kauffman Stadium—a 105’x85’ HDR videoboard and upgraded control room installed during the offseason to welcome fans and provide a more engaging fan experience.

In addition to the main HDR videoboard, Kauffman Stadium is also sporting new LED displays in their Hall of Fame display (20.5’x108’) as well as two 7’x127’ ribbon boards along the outfield wall running from left center field to center field and right center field to center field.

With a grand total of more than 5.1 million LED pixels throughout the park, Kauffman Stadium’s technology upgrades will have fans rooting for the home team for years to come.
