Karlie Kloss & Joshua Kushner had a second western-themed wedding in Wyoming

On Monday, I kept seeing headlines about Karlie Kloss’s “party in Wyoming” and I was like “why is she getting so much press for having a party in Wyoming?” Then I saw something about a wedding and I was like “no, that already happened.” Turns out I was somewhat mistaken. I mean, Karlie and Joshua Kushner did get married last year in upstate New York. They got married in the woods in October, Karlie wore Dior and the ceremony was Jewish, given that Karlie converted for Joshua, and there were very few people invited – no Taylor Swift (lol), no Jared Kushner, no Ivanka Trump. No big surprise there – while Ivanka seems eager to attach herself to Karlie, reportedly Jared thinks Karlie is a “dumb shiksa.” But I digress.

The point is that Karlie and Joshua have been married for about eight months already. But they decided to do it again, this time in Wyoming. Did the first wedding not stick or something? Karlie and her friends posted photos of the low-key countrified wedding – it took place at Brush Creek Ranch, and the celebration lasted the whole weekend. Guests included Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Derek Blasberg, Diane von Furstenberg, and more. Once again, it does not appear that Jared Kushner or Ivanka came to this second wedding. Interesting.

For this second wedding, Karlie kept it on-theme (the theme: Wild West) with a western-style Jonathan Simkhai wedding dress. I guess I would call this a prairie dress, or deconstructed prairie. I’ll admit that this western/prairie stuff leaves me cold – it’s just not my style at all, and it feels like an especially weird choice for Karlie and Joshua. Joshua is from New Jersey, and he lives in New York. Karlie is also a New Yorker, and she grew up in St. Louis. Why Wyoming? And why not go for a City Slickers theme?

Update: Apparently, Jared Kushner & Ivanka did go to Wyoming… on Thursday. They spent some time with Karlie and Joshua, but Javanka were out of there before the three-day wedding celebration.

This looks dumb AF. I don’t understand the point.

    • Kim says:

right? if you have never been toWyoming, you are not missing a thing. There’s a reason they had to filter the crap out of those pics. Wyoming is a dirt clot outside of Yellowstone. it’s may be exotic to people who are city cemented aka never leave their city limits.

      • Amaryis says:

Come on, now. I’ve been to Wyoming many times & it is beautiful.
        I rode horses in Cody.
        Went hiking in Sheridan.
I don’t even mind the endless stretches of prairie dotted with cattle ranches. I saw stunning views of the sky over those prairies.
I actually did a ton of painting when I got back from those trips.
Now do I think the Kushner’s are dumbasses who are playing dress up on the prairie?
        Hell yes.

      • SamC says:

Wow, seriously? I’ve been to Wyoming several times, multiple places, and wouldn’t say that at all. Working ranches and lots of open, undeveloped space, sure, but also beautiful rivers and streams, great hiking, some lovely towns, etc.

      • Skyblue says:

Seriously? I live under the big sky in Montana and even I am in awe of Wyoming. Nothing prettier and more awe-inspiring than driving south past Sheridan, Wyoming on a stormy summer night. Or exploring the northeast corner where the Sundance Kid earned his name after spending time in the Sundance jail. Walking around the Devil’s tower. And yes, the Tetons south of Yellowstone are dramatic but that crazy open prairie is the stuff of legend. (My beef is I hate sharing all of the grandeur with cosplaying celebrity clowns)

      • fifee says:

Really? For me its one of the most beautiful places that I have visited, I dream of returning. Lovely towns and amazing vistas, nothing like the dirt clot you describe.

      • MissM says:

Wyoming is beautiful but it definitely depends on where you are. The easter part of the state is pretty run down and trashy. Once you get past Casper and all of the mining and drilling it is seriously beautiful. You dont see much of that unless you get off of the interstate and take the back roads. Wyoming and Montana are my favorite states for their pure beauty.

      • himmiefan says:

        Actually, it’s quite beautiful.

      • Original Jenns says:

Kim, did Wyoming steal your man? Move on, girl, you know he didn’t deserve you!

      • paranormalgirl says:

My best friend lives in Jackson and it’s so beautiful.

  2. Renee2 says:

Wild West theme, huh. Whenever I think of the Wild West I think of the genocide of Indigenous people. Maybe she can talk to Blake Lively about her wedding on a former plantation.

And Karlie is a dumb shiksa?? I guess Jared would know, he married one. Her conversion doesn’t change that fact.

    • Lightpurple says:

Or she could just talk to her sister-in-law, who is profiting off of locking children in cages.

      • Elkie says:

I’m sorry, I think you mean “architecting a contemporary linear steel-enriched environment encircling bureaucratically-orphaned juvenile homo sapiens”.

      • Wisca says:

Because of children in cages, babies on concrete floors, children defecating in their pants, and it being illegal to donate to help our fellow humans, I hate everything connected to the trumps, including KK & her husband who partied with I & J, who work for and with a rapist.

    • Lizzie says:

right on! you know there are pictures of people in headdresses somewhere…and its wild that i actually agree with jarad on something….karlie is DUMB. why on earth you would voluntarily attach yourself to this dumpster trash heap of a family is beyond me. despite her “i went to college and love STEM – she is obviously a vapid, clueless, spoiled idiot. please no one chime in about how he is the good one….if he hasn’t excommunicated his family for being criminals of the highest order…he isn’t good. she’s BFF with dasha zhukova – daughter of a russian arms dealer and wendy deng – who is probably a spy who is deeply tied to russia (as in, russian oligarchs including putin have been deeply inside her…) and her inlaws are literally orchestrating a pogrom against south americans.

i don’t like taylor swift but maybe they aren’t friends anymore b/c the optics of hanging out with karlie kloss kusher are atrocious and maybe karlie is a little bitch.

      • olive says:

i can never forget that photo of dasha sitting on a chair that was a naked black female mannequin. so disturbing.

    • buensenso says:

I don’t get this hate towards karlie and joshua kushner. that guy isn’t jared nor is she ivanka. they are not working for trump.

      • Tiffany :) says:

No, Josh (and therefore Karlie) are profiting HUGELY off of the Trump administration.

Josh and Jared co-founded Cadre aka RealCadre LLC. It is a real estate venture that is/has profited massively from the legislation regarding investments in “opportunity zones”. Politicians were pressured to put Kushner land into the “opportunity zone” category, which means they won’t have to pay taxes on business income generated from their properties. It was intended to help struggling communities, but grifters gonna grift.

      • Megan says:

The Kushners are a crime family. You can’t be “the good one” while associating with relatives who are actively breaking the law.

      • Lizzie says:

the entire kushner family has massively profited off trump’s corruption before his presidency and now…not to mention their own personal corrupt business practices. karlie CHOSE to join a family of literal criminals. first just regular criminals but now war criminals. so – he’s a scumbag from a scumbag family and she’s an idiot and a scumbag by association. also – seeing these rich bored douche bags party with ivanka and jarad means that this “class’ of people is totally fine with all the BS trump has caused – otherwise they would be ostracized socially.

      • The Recluse says:

Read Kushner, Inc. and you will get a clearer idea of who these horrible people are. And the Kushners do look down their noses at Karlie, while they like Ivanka. What does that tell you?

      • buensenso says:

I don’t know. maybe I’m naive, but he’s not to blame for being somebody’s brother and she must’ve fallen in love and I can’t blame her for that either. they don’t seem evil to me. however, I don’t get why karlie would be considered less acceptable than ivanka. she’s a self made woman, unlike ivanka. ps. the only one getting on my nerves in this story is derek blasberg, who is best friends with literally every celebrity known to man. he seems like an opportunist to me.

      • Nic919 says:

The Kushner family made money through sketchy ways even before Jared married into the dump grifter klan. They are all complicit. And since they don’t openly denounce their disgusting brother and sister in law for the evil they are doing, they are not any better.

Karlie needs to get out or else she is just as bad. She can’t just pretend her sister in law and brother in law aren’t helping concentration camps happen along the border.

    • maisie says:

THANK YOU. Jared calling Kloss “a dumb shiksa” is the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black. Ivanka is a tin-eared moron – her latest tweet praised her criminal husband for suggesting that peace in the Middle East can be achieved if all countries put billions into a “fund” (gee, guess who’ll handle it?) to, er, “create peace.” Yes, this is Kushner’s (and Tr**p’s) brilliant idea. And Ivanka is all for it, because money. If she isn’t a dumb, grasping shiksa (despite the mikveh and “keeping kosher” with champagne popsicles), I don’t know who is. Remember: her Thanksgiving decorations were in a giant clam shell, which is totally trayf. Her Judaism is skin-deep.

  3. Sierra says:

Is it me or does Karlie look like Taylor’s twin in that sunset picture?

  4. minx says:

    Oh, brother.

  5. SamC says:

Jared and Ivanka were there, one of the sites posted photos of them cuddled up (ugh!). I read a story in the NY Times yesterday about what a colossal flop Jared’s big Peace and Prosperity summit has been.

    • Lightpurple says:

They were at the first one too. Karlie seems determined to keep Nagini out of her pictures.

To distract from something Orange Voldy was doing last week, Nagini tweeted something about how there is no lasting peace without women at the table, including a picture of herself. This weekend, she started heavily promoting Tom Riddle’s Peace and Prosperity summit, complete with pictures of him surrounded by white men. People responded by asking why he wasn’t meeting with Palestinian women if he wanted the peace to last.

      • Erinn says:

She should drop her empty message about women at the table to Mike Pence and Mother. Although as long as “Mother” is there I suppose he’d count it as women at the table.

Also I still can’t get over the mother thing. The only time I’ve ever said “mother” was when I was annoyed at my mom ahaha. My dad does the same with his mom. It’s just such a weirdly formal thing to say – even more so when referring to your freakin wife.

      • Megan says:

Calling her Mrs. Pence would a lot less creepy.

  6. Erinn says:

I think it’s kind of cute. I assume they did the religious, more intimate ceremony to make family happy. Then they took a bit of a break and had a big party type bash. If I was as wealthy as they are, I’d probably want to do something like that – small tight knit family wedding to make the grandparents happy – then have a big fun weekend doing something else. But if I had their money I’d want donations made to charities that were important to me in lieu of a bunch of gifts.

  7. Mina says:

Jared and Ivanka were there. They took a picture against a sunset backdrop like other guests, including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. No Taylor Swift, though….

  8. Kay says:

That Derek Blasberg guy is so weird. He keeps showing up everywhere, like a professional celebrity BFF. And his face always looks like he’s about to take a giant dump.

    • prettypersuasion says:

I’m fascinated by him and his ability to infiltrate the inner circles. He must be extremely charming and fun. Living the dream.

    • buensenso says:

YES! that’s what I’ve been thinking for some time now. I’m very suspicious of anybody who claims to be best friends with almost every celebrity. nobody is friends with everybody. and he has the need to be bff with famous people. he seems like a great opportunist. also, I am curious to know why the celebrities fall for him.

  9. L84Tea says:

Ugh…he looks so much like his brother in that close up that it’s unsettling.

  10. Robinda says:

Jared & Ivanka were there. Pictures floating around of the two of them.

I think this kind of wedding party looks fun. No one’s nervous, no getting crazy over flowers being wrong, just friends having a fun weekend to celebrate.

  11. Michael says:

I try very hard not to hold the terrible in laws against Karli and her husband but it is not easy at all. I wish I could see them do something for others every once in a while but everything I see is them indulging themselves

    • Tate says:

I hold it against anyone that is associated with this evil administration. So much harm is being done.

  12. NicoleK says:

I think it’s a good reflection on Taylor Swift that she’s not a part of this crowd. Truly. Say whatever you want about her, but Karlie’s associations with certain people aren’t great, I don’t care if it’s “family.”

  13. Daisy says:

Is there a person Derek Blasberg doesn’t know at this point? He manages to always be at every event ever and I don’t even know what he does for a living. Also to me is kinda obvious Taylor and Karlie aren’t bffs anymore for sometime (if they ever were bc the whole squad thing was performative and she dropped 90% of those people). But people grow apart so it’s whatever.

  14. Lala11_7 says:

    They’re ALL absolutely awful….

    All of them

    • ChillyWilly says:

I agree. showing their ugly asses in Little House on the Prairie cosplay while refugee children suffer in unspeakable conditions. Despicable people.

  15. Darla says:

The United States is torturing children and babies in camps at the border. I find Kloss obscene now. She is in bed with the family. She is obscene.

  16. Darla says:

    dup comment

  17. Jb says:

    Moneyed trash people.

  18. I don’t really feel one way or the other about the party wedding celebration. Agree that a charity tie in would have been nice, but nothing wrong with a little fun. It bothers me that Karlie married into the Kushner family though. Karlie was with Josh for years before they even got engaged so I guess she knew what she was getting into, and she does seem to be able to handle herself well in different situations. Still, the Kushner family is corrupt, ruthless, and sinister, And Ivanka and Jared are just staggeringly obtuse and arrogant. The fact that Ivanka is using this situation to set herself up as a future President (eeeek!) and working in this administration while basically campaigning for herself on the taxpayer dime is not only galling but frightening. And Jared is just as equally unqualified and has not a moral bone in his body, Just hope Josh is the decent one some think he may be and that Karlie does not get caught up in it.

  19. Marjorie says:

To refresh everyone: Karlie’s father-in-law hired a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, videotaped the encounter, and had it sent to his sister. He did 14 months in federal prison for that witness tampering and assorted bribes. Today he is not repentant and doesn’t understand why anyone thinks it matters.

    But, money.

  20. FlipFlap says:

Interesting that Dasha Zhukova was there. IIRC, she’s the daughter of one Russian oligarch (though she grew up in the states) and is married to another. The husband is tight with Putin and supposedly Dasha is friendly with Javanka. Maybe it’s all very innocent but maybe KK is more entwined with the garbage side of the fam than we realize. 😕

  21. Case says:

This setting looks really beautiful, but I think her Western-esque dress is so silly. I like the denim look, though.

You know, I’ve always thought Karlie was really smart and I admire her for her work encouraging young girls to code and get involved in STEM. I also never held it against her husband for simply being a Kushner, because we all have family we’re not necessarily proud of. That said, the fact that they invite Ivanka and Jared to these things speaks volumes. I can’t fathom speaking to family members that have wreaked so much havoc in this country. You can’t choose your family, but you can certainly choose not to associate with them.

    • The Recluse says:

The Kushners are one of those stiflingly tight knit, clannish families that don’t take to outsiders readily and hold grudges against anyone who they feel betrays them.

  22. sassafras says:

Either way, Karlie is a Kushner which means… ugh. She can try to keep Nagini and Tom Riddle (LOLOLOL) out of her pictures but she married into that family… willingly. Unless I see a public rebuke of their policies, actions and, yes, $$$$$$, she gets no love from me. (Also, she’s a terrible Heidi Klum replacement in the rebooted Project Runway. No charm, no style, all forced snottery. Couldn’t take it.)

  23. Barrett says:

Rich white people issues. 2 weddings, 1 themed.

  24. Nic919 says:

If my sister in law and brother were directly involved in a government where kids are being locked in cages and dying because of a bigot gone wild, I would not be associating with them in any way. The complete insensitivity to that shows much much Karlie and this Kushner brother aren’t different from the monsters in the White House. They are all the same and they should be treated like the rich soulless bigots that they all are.

    • Darla says:

^^^Same. I don’t associate with MY sister in law and brother because they are trump supporters, so…Kloss gets NO breaks from me. She is filthy just as they are.

  25. Mumbles says:

Lauren Bush and David Lauren did the corny cos-play Western wedding already, years ago.

  26. Patty says:

Right. I read a really good article a couple of years ago on this rich white people faux homesteader nostalgia bullshit. It’s so dumb. Why I can’t stand Rea Drummond and her pioneer woman bs. It’s just wealthy white people doing cosplay.

  27. Karen2 says:

Well. I’d like to thank them for posting all over the place. That white dress was beautiful & she looked gorgeous in it. They all seemed to have had a ton of fun amongst beautiful scenery & got to ride some horses. Perfect lil partay with great industry friends.

  28. Elisa says:

Barf. This looks so fake, divorce in three, max.

  29. Ruyana says:

Funny how Joshua looks like an actual feeling human and Jared looks like an emotionless malfunctioning android.

  30. Veronica S. says:

Wyoming is beautiful, but this is like…peak rich people, right lol? Two weddings is beyond self-indulgent and narcissistic. Ah, the wealthy.

What do you think they talked about? How good the fondue turned out despite all of those nagging news reports about the border concentration camps bringing down the mood?

  31. Mash says:

so can we NOW stop playing like they were STILL friends….clearly her and taylor are thru. honestly the party looks fun, a wedding or marriage clebration should be a time of TURN UP even if its corny… idk like Karlie do you booboo

but enough with this “yea were totes still friends” shtick.

also i would love to read Derek Blasberg book (you know hes the type to write one) when he gets older it will confirm everything we think we know (Swiftgron, Kaylor, etc.) lol

  32. JustBitchy says:

More like broke back mountain. Hope they are happy. I’d stay away from Nagini too!

  33. JRenee says:

Is this multiple vow service/ vow renewal a thing or what?

  34. Annabel says:

“…reportedly Jared thinks Karlie is a “dumb shiksa.””

God, that guy’s an idiot. If she converted, then she’s Jewish, i.e. not a shiksa.
