When the Gluten-Free Community Gives Back

My selfie at the GFFA Fest selfie booth

It's an amazing time to be gluten-free. There are so many great products, organizations and technologies that make living gluten-free easier every day. Events like the Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest and the Gluten Free Allergen Friendly Expo allows us as brand representatives to meet our consumers face to face. It allows us as consumers to try new products before trying them. And my favorite thing, is that we get a chance to meet the hearts behind a company's mission statement.

May was a busy month with trips to the Columbus GFFA Fest and the Schaumburg GFAF Expo. Here are a few pictures representing some of the memories that I made.

Some of my favorite moments at the Columbus GFFA Fest, from top left to bottom right. 1) I really enjoyed the Delighted By Dessert hummus. I was totally wowed by their Orange Ginger hummus. 2) I loved talking to the team at the Now Find Gluten Free booth. Their new app is going to be a huge help at the grocery store. Visit them at the Lansing Gluten Free Fair in October. 3) Hannah of Hannah's Healthy Bakery was such a pleasure. I really enjoyed her pancake mix! 4) I always love meeting our biggest Chebe fans. This really is why I do what I do!

Some of my best moments at the Schaumburg GFAF Expo  Top left to bottom right -
1) My annual picture with Joel Warady, the incredibly personal Chief Marketing Officer of Enjoy Life Foods. 2) Gorilly Goods raw snacks. By far my best NEW find of the show. Totally oat free and delicious. 3) My pal Ryan Scott at MyBread, which makes amazing gluten-free pita. Stay tuned in the near future for some new product launches from them! 4) In addition to being an ambassador at the Chebe booth for this show, I was also a media blogger for the event. San-J tamari was gracious to all of us bloggers in sharing some wonderful products.

This is Susan. She owns Wheat's End Cafe in Chicago, which I'll be sharing more about later this week. Through conversation we realized that she annually vacations near the city where my husband's grandfather was raised, way in the Upper Peninsula's no man's land. There's very little that really separates us when we finally get to know one another.

The vendors at these shows go above and beyond to meet their clientele's needs and reach out. Now I'm blessed to be able pass on their generosity. I came home with lots of swag from these events that I want to share with you. Pictured above are just a few of the small things that I'm including in a major giveaway box. Below are some even bigger items I think you should try.

The new and elusive frosted Glutino frosted blueberry toaster pastries, Ardenne Farm chocolate chip cookie mix and Archway's new gluten-free sugar cookie thins. All products are certified gluten-free by GFCO.

Hannah's Healthy Paleo Pancake mix, Bakery on Main's Steelcut Oats and I.M. Healthy's gluten-free cornflake crumbs. The cornflake crumbs are great to bread chicken or fish, and even tofu!

One can't talk about gluten-free living without talking about Enjoy Life Foods. How much do I love my readers? I'm including one bag of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips and my favorite seed and fruit mix. Can't give enough thanks to this company.

I'm passing on ALL of these things to one lucky winner. That's right, not four separate giveaways, but one LARGE giveaway. To enter this generous giveaway, comment below about ways that you have or hope to continually support Celiac Disease awareness. Also, to make sure that you don't miss any future posts, entrants must sign up for my weekly newsletter. Additional entries can be earned through the Rafflecopter application. The contest will end June 14th at 12 a.m. .
